Creamed Broccoli & Alfalfa Sprouts


  • ¼ Cup chopped onion
  • 2 Tbs. Butter, melted
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 3 Tbs. Flour
  • 1¼ Cups Milk
  • ¾ to 1 cup diced broccoli
  • 2 oz Alfalfa Sprouts cut into ¼ in length
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions: Sauté onion and garlic in butter over medium heat until onion is translucent.  Stir in flour and cook until golden brown.  Stir in milk and cook until smooth and thickened.  Add ¼ cup of the cheese, diced broccoli and cut alfalfa sprouts.  Add salt and pepper to taste.  Stir until all ingredients are well coated.

Pour into a baking dish – Top with remaining cheese.  Bake at 350 degrees until cheese melts.
